Today's park Tobiaspark was created in 1615 as a pest and alien cemetery. It was used as a burial ground until 1918 and is today a town square in the northern pedestrian area.
In 2013, the park's front area was redesigned to become a pedestrian area. Today there is a children's playground with modern seating. It forms the largest inner-city play area.
