Cycling
This is a former water reservoir of the Weilerquelle, which supplied Wildentierbach with water until 1910. Since the altitude is too low, the higher-lying houses in the village did not get any water. As a result, a new reservoir was built and pipes were laid.
The new reservoir (already collapsed) is located next to the Heftensee.

This was sufficient as long as there was no water connection in the houses.
The people fetched the water from the 3 wells in the village.
The cattle were led to the drinking troughs at the wells in the morning and in the evening.
