Highlight on the Lycian Way, the lighthouse at Cape Chelidonia. Many day tourists, but quiet in the evening. Good possibility for camping.

The name of Gelidonya Lighthouse comes from the word Caledonia, which means swallow in the Lycian language.
Gelifdonya Lighthouse is also called Taşlıkburnu Lighthouse.
According to the coastal police, the Gelidonta lighthouse is the highest lighthouse on the Turkish coast with a height of 227 meters. The tower height is 9 meters.
It is known that the lighthouse was built by the French in 1934. Since the construction of the lighthouse took two years, the lighthouse was opened in 1936.
Since Gelidonya Lighthouse was not supplied with electricity, it was powered by kerosene until 1976 and butane gas until 2004. Later it was switched to solar energy systems.
The names of these islands, known as Beş Adalar or Şıldanlar, which are located opposite Gelidonya Lighthouse, are Meşe Island, Devecitaşı Island, Ateş Island and Sulada.
