After the steep ascent to Lake Twengeralm, the ridge is a little more moderate until the summit structure of the Gurpitscheck opposes the further course of the route. The ascent then gives way to the eastern flank with a small climbing area (rope insurance, <2m) and remains steep but easy to walk there. Shortly before the summit there is another climbing point (approx. 4m, rope insurance) which requires a little fearlessness on the rock, after which the summit is soon reached. Both climbing areas are well secured with ropes and are not exposed.

This climb is truly difficult, and you definitely need to be sure-footed and have a head for heights. But the view and the feeling up there are incredible.

There is one place where you need to have strong arms. I don't think it's worth it if you don't have a head for heights. The view is world class!
