Hiking

The Patrouillenweg around Königstein Fortress is a historic circular trail (approx. 5 km, created in 1805) directly below the fortress walls, offering impressive views of the fortress and Saxon Switzerland. The hiking trail leads around the rock plateau, past the so-called "lower works", fortress walls, and the Abratzky chimney. It is reopened after renovations. The path is partly steep and unpaved, requires surefootedness, and is about 5 kilometers long.
