Tips
If you are planning a tour near Baesweiler, you should definitely make a detour to the mountain plateau in the CarlAlexanderPark. From the Bergfoyer it is a good 80 m high to the Haldenplateau. At about 350 m you can then enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view over the observation deck, which partly floats over the demolition edge!
On the way back you should take the Vista vantage point on the right - from there you have a panoramic view over the Roman street Via Belgica in the ground.
Without a bike the path over the stairs on the Bergfoyer is worthwhile, which leads over a 25 m long suspension bridge into the "Schwebesteg" and then into the "Himmelsstiege".translated by
