Even if you always think of the USA or Russia when you think of space travel, there is also a lot to marvel at here in Vogtland. After all, Germans were also astronauts in space. Above all, Sigmund Jähn, in whose honor this museum was built to bring space travel closer to the general public. Who doesn't dream of becoming an astronaut when they're little? It's worth a visit.

I would have liked more original exhibits. Otherwise very informative if you take the time to read the various panels.

German space exhibition in Morgenröthe-Rautenkranz. Rautenkranz is the birthplace of Siegmund Jähn, the first German in space.
