Depending on the time of year, you can watch different species of ducks resting in the nearby ponds. Ornithologists with binoculars or even a telescope are usually happy to give information! Parking for cars is available by the white willow tree just across the street!

Regarding the second comment: You can see the mountains in the distance when you look across the lake, so from the north bank of the lake rather than the south bank.
