Espot is a municipality located in the Espot valley, east of the Noguera Pallaresa river, in the Catalan region of Pallars Sobirá. It is one of the entrances to the Aigüestortes y lago de San Mauricio national park. Within its terminus is the massif of Los Encantados.

Hiking

The Aigüestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park is very easy to reach via Espot. The central information point is located here. Access to the park with private vehicles is not permitted, but shuttle taxis are allowed to operate from Espot on the well-developed forest road to the Estany de Sant Maurici lake. Espot with its small hotels and accommodations is very suitable as a base.
