Mill at the Emstor
There used to be two grain mills on the Ems in Telgte: the big and the small mill. Both came into the possession of the Terfloth family in 1838. In the 1860s, they had a sawmill built opposite the small mill at Emstor, which burned down in 1890. The new small mill was built on its foundations in 1902 after the old mill on the opposite side had been shut down due to dilapidation. At that time, the new mill was no longer equipped with a water wheel, but with a turbine. The later additions to the mill are reminiscent of the typical industrial architecture of the 1920s. Until 1956, Friedrich Dunkel ran a trading mill here. Today, the youth club and a dental surgery practice are located in the striking building at Emstor.

Here in the heart of Telgte the Ems has many beautiful rivers. Take the time to explore everything, whether it's the waterfall, the new fish ladder or the large weir, there is a lot to discover. After days of rain, the Specktakel is most interesting.

The mill at Emstor in Telgte is very idyllic and with the fish ladder it is also a perfect place for the fish. There you can watch and enjoy the Ems, as well as the mill. The park next to it is also very nice and inviting with lots of seating. Dreamlike.
