Marlette Lake

Contrary to the nearby Chimney Beach being overcrowded, Lake Marlette provides a serene escape from society for a relaxing swim. The hike is very enjoyable with the elevation gain being spread out. The area is well-trafficked and shared by dogs, bikers, and sometimes horses.

Lake Tahoe–Nevada State Park:
"The area encompasses Marlette Lake and Hobart Reservoir, which were created to feed the Marlette Lake Water System during the area's early mining and logging years.
