The stilt house is a beautiful industrial monument on the Karl Heine Canal. While I wouldn't describe the old corrugated iron factory building as a ruin, the view is, as described, fantastic! The old factory was restored between 2001 and 2003 and converted into an office building and restaurant.

The stilt house was built with a special permit directly on the Karl Heine Canal in the years 1937-1939. Since the Karl Heine Canal should be widened. From 1990, the building was empty, and was fully refurbished in 2003. There is a restaurant there.
