You will find Woolsthorpe Lock on the end of the fabulously named Dirty Duck Lane. The bridge over the Grantham Canal provides a fantastic viewpoint to take in a rest from your ride, as does the nearby Rutland Arms pub on Woolsthorpe Wharf.

There is a good quality gravel towpath alongside the canal, which you may find suitable for road bikes, depending on your tyre width and comfort levels on a looser surface.
