Hiking Highlight
Beautiful view. Sometimes, especially in the colder months, you have a beautiful view, even when the city is in fog.

When the weather is nice, you have a wonderful view over Lake Zurich, the Black Forest and the Glarus and Central Swiss Alps.

Tip 1:
Those who are good on foot, should go from the Albisgüetli Tramendhaltestelle (No.13) on the Förreneggweg (left of the lantern way). Very nice path, in places quite steep, just above the Üetlibertunnel entrance the way was expanded with a metal staircase.
Tip 2:
For top-fit hikers the Denzlerweg is the absolute hightlight. The path is very steep and consists of 95% of ancient wooden stairs. The boarding also starts at the Albisgüetli tram stop (No.13). You first follow the lantern road but take the first path to the right before the steep climb. The first branch to the left is the beginning of the Denzlerweg.

When Zurich sinks into gray in the winter months, you often have the chance of a view and some sun here.

The statues are based on a legend, which is described under the following link:

So it's not scary anymore, if you know the story 😊.
Have fun on the Üetliberg.

Various (sometimes steep) paths lead to the Uetliberg. Ideal starting point for a hike over the Albiskette.

Great view over Zurich and Lake Zurich.
Ascent can be done via hiking routes or the Uetlibergbahn.
(There is also a mountain bike trail down.)

They have not added a charge to go up the Communications tower to improve your view slightly, not worth it I think; there are other (free) towers along the ridge route...

The Uetliberg is Zurich's local mountain. From here you can see the city, the lake and catch a glimpse of the Alps. The Uetliberg (871 m above sea level) towers over the roofs of Zurich. From the summit you have a magnificent panoramic view over the city and the lake to the Alps. This excursion destination is particularly popular in November, as the summit of the Uetliberg is often above Zurich's high level of fog. In winter, the hiking trails are converted into toboggan runs.In summer, the Uetliberg is the starting point for signposted hikes, a mountain bike trail and the "Planet Trail". This approximately two-hour hike leads to the Felsenegg cable car in Adliswil and provides a fascinating insight into the solar system.zuerich.com/de/visit/sights/uetliberg

Better to get on and off and descend only after 1 to 2 days without rain.
