Köppchensee

The lake was created from an old peat cutting and is now a nature reserve right on the Berlin Wall Trail.

Here you can combine a nice little hike with good food: from Köppchensee once along the Tegeler Fließ to the west, past the horse stables of Lübars to the Holzstegweg, this northwards directly through the Eichwerder moor meadows, at its end again eastwards along the Fliess back to Köppchensee. About 9 km. At the last crossroads (where the path turns south towards the lake), take the path northwards and in a few minutes walk you will reach the "Normandie" restaurant (signposted). Good french cuisine.

Very nice place to rest and enjoy peace. Immediately on the Berlin Wall Trail near the Tegeler river. When the weather is good, it's nice to have a drink, but still worth a visit
