This canyon and forest-clad has several miles of frontage along the Pedernales River, so you'll find people fishing and swimming. The biggest attractions here tend to be mountain biking and climbing though, and of course hiking. There's an astronomical observatory here as well, taking advantage of dark skies to focus on the heavens.
