The Werse has particularly little current and it is difficult to see in which direction it is now flowing. The Werse has its source near Beckum and runs via Ahlen and Drensteinfurt to Münster. The Werse, which is 67 kilometers long, flows into the Ems behind Münster.

The Werse or Werse cycle path is worthwhile throughout. Incidentally, the Werse (Albersloh) is a fishing water in North Rhine-Westphalia near Sendenhorst. The waters are fished relatively heavily and rated as a top fishing area

The Werse shows its quiet and picturesque side there and invites you to relax and linger. Fantastically quiet.
