Lyngvig Harbor

The port was created in 1908 in connection with the construction of the Lyngvig Lighthouse (Fyr). The sight of the fishing and pleasure boats at sunrise, when the sun rises over the fjord, is particularly beautiful.

The port of Lyngvig Havn exudes calm and peace. The place appears untouched and authentic, perhaps because of the old, local fishermen who have authority and keep the port in order.
Here you see a good mix of fishing and sailing which hopefully can be preserved so that the fishery continues. The fishing is done from barges and smaller fishing boats. The drying area with stakes to dry the nets is still there, but the old tar area where you could tar your nets is gone.
Today there is a place where you can have your picnic and spend the night in the three shelters (shelters) that lie on the lawn down to the harbor.
