The Büsnauer Wiesental was declared a nature reserve in 1989 by the Regional Council of Stuttgart on an area of 28 hectares. Previously, the area was threatened with further development and intensification of agriculture. This small-scale mosaic of meadows, brooks, coppices, puddles, reed beds, shrubs, shrubs, hedges, pollard willows and cemeteries in the conurbation of Stuttgart is a rarity these days. Here there are opportunities for retreat for plants and animals that rely on open, extensively used landscapes. But as a relaxation area, the Büsnauer Wiesental is appreciated by the inhabitants of the city.
