With views of the Dent de Nendaz, Mont Gond and Mont Gelé, you can climb hairpin bends to the Col de la Croix de Coeur. The last climb is on a unpaved road and the view up is absolutely fantastic. Just like the cyclists of the Tour de Suisse and Tour de France 2009, you take the southern ramp to Verbier.

It is at the top of the Col de la Croix de Coeur (2173 meters) that the finish of the Tour des Stations, a major event on the European cyclosportive calendar, is judged. The last 8 kilometers of the climb are on a narrow road that winds through the forest and then the pastures.
