Tips
The Baumgartshof is one of the oldest farmsteads in the Spessart. It was located on an important trading route in the Middle Ages, the Poststrasse (Espelbacherstrasse) from Frankfurt to Würzburg. Before the expansion of the A3 began, on the way from Michelrieth to Baumgartshof you could still see the special fortification of this old road: paving with stones placed upright next to each other. Unfortunately, this historical monument has now been covered with gravel.
