The Baltic Sea Boltenhagen has over four kilometers long, sandy beach, which changes from the flat coast to an imposing cliff. The latter is located in the district Redewisch and rises up to 35 meters. It was created in the Ice Age as Glakialschüttküste, on which, among other things, blue clay, clay, chalk and boulders are deposited.
The steep coast is ideal for long walks and offers plenty of attractive photo opportunities. Walkers and hikers are encouraged and advised to take great care in their excursions, as demolitions often occur in this area, posing a danger to health and life. If you are lucky, you will find rare fossils at the foot of the cliffs, which are a very nice holiday souvenir.
