The whole fishing port offers cyclists discovery tours on topics such as shipbuilding, wind energy industry, fishing industry (research ships, Thünen Institute) and port flair. Everyday you can eat wonderful fish (Fisch2000) or simply dangle your legs in the harbor basin and peel garnet yourself.

The area of today's district fishing port lay in Geestemünde and Wulsdorf. Wulsdorf came to Geestemünde in 1920, which became a district of Wesermünde in 1924 and Bremerhaven in 1947. The fishing port has been an own district of Bremerhaven since 1971

The fishing port is well suited to explore Bremerhaven away from the hustle and bustle. The hotels here are much cheaper than at the Überseehafen and the gastronomy is good.

There is always something interesting to see here, even during the week. It's also worth taking a break and a meal in the mile is usually decent.
