The lock Strullendorf was built in the 1960s during the construction of the Main-Danube Canal. In the basin, which is around 190 meters long and twelve meters wide, around seven and a half meters are compensated for between the upper and lower water. Today, the lock is controlled by the control center in Neuses.

A ship locks process takes only about 15 minutes. Very exciting to watch. The water rises rapidly and on a board the construction of the lock is explained.
