Gurk Cathedral was built between 1140 and 1200. Thanks to the minimal structural changes, the cathedral is one of the most important Romanesque buildings in Europe. The associated Gurk treasury houses the outstanding collection of the Carinthian Diocesan Museum. You can view over 300 objects of Carinthian religious art in the Gothic and Baroque rooms of the Gurk provost's court. Cathedral tours take place daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. between March 1 and October 31, and daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. between November 1 and February 28.
