At 2,895 meters, the Holzgauer Wetterspitze is one of the highest peaks in the Lechtal Alps. The ascent is via the Frederick Simms Hut. From there the path becomes more demanding and leads partly over steep gravel terrain to the Fallenbacher Joch. Shortly before the summit, there are several very exposed climbing areas to be mastered with rope insurance (UIAA II). A head for heights, alpine experience, surefootedness and climbing skills are therefore essential. However, the view from the summit rewards you for every effort.
