At 2,296 meters, the neo-Gothic pilgrimage church stands out in bright white with a rust-red roof amidst the deep green meadows and gray mountains. With this height, she may proudly call "the highest place of pilgrimage in Europe".

About forty years later, thanks to the donations of many pilgrims, it was possible to build a little chapel in the open air. Three small bells from the workshop of Grasmair in Brixen ring every Sunday for worship.
