The fire brigade museum Berlin was originally set up as a "historical lecture" and is a facility of the Berlin fire department. During the training, young colleagues were to be informed about the long tradition of the Berlin fire brigade and to be informed about the history of firefighting, technical assistance and rescue. The museum has been open to the public since 1983 and is run by the Förderverein Feuerwehrmuseum Berlin e. V. supported.

The topics cover the history of the Berlin fire brigade from the founding days to the forces of our time. Different periods of time are represented as life-size, e.g. the fire fighting with a "fire chute" from the year 1909. Also a trailing debris landscape which represents the time in the 2. World war is to be considered here. In the exhibition, video clips are installed that reflect the work of the emergency services in a realistic way. In the panic room you can experience a really "tough" situation up close.
