Lichtenwalde Castle & Park is one of the most remarkable baroque ensembles in Germany and impresses with its exhibits from Nepal, Tibet, China and Japan.
The park is open all year round from 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and currently costs €3.00 for adults.
The Lichtenwalde Castle and Park are among the "three worth seeing" along with Augustusburg Castle and Scharfenstein Castle.

If you are going on a hike or a bike ride near Lichtenwalde Castle, we recommend a walk through the beautifully landscaped baroque castle park with its many views of the Zschopau River flowing down the valley. The exhibitions in the castle are also very lovingly designed and await interested visitors.
Thanks to Frederick II - the Great, who placed the castle and its collections under his personal protection, the "Pearl of the Zschopau Valley" was spared during the Seven Years' War.
