West Beach Großenbrode (Dog Beach)

For the summer, the west beach is designated as a dog beach. Dogs can also be leashed on the official beach during the main season.

The Wagrien peninsula is located north of the Bay of Lübeck on the Fehmarnsund. In addition to steep bank sections and dykes, the landscape on the west beach of Großenbrode includes some secluded corners, where you can often walk undisturbed on the coast with your dog.
Free run for dogs: you can take your dog for a walk along the west beach to the view of the Fehmarnsund Bridge.
Dogs are allowed on the south beach of Großenbrode in the low season between October and March.
Free exercise is also possible for dogs in Großenbrode on a separate area “Am Kai”.
