The imposing Renaissance-style half-timbered building with pillory, memorial, coat of arms, clock and spiral staircase tower dominates the Bopfinger market square. However, the half-timbered gable was plastered in imperial city times and bore the city coat of arms at the top. The Old Town Hall was built in 1585/86 by the master builder Wolfgang Waldberger from Nördlingen.
