Mountain biking

Mutschelbach's history can be traced back to 1278. Mutschelbach originally consisted of two villages - one in Baden, the other in Württemberg. In 1701 it was saved from ruin by the expelled Waldensians. There was no village of “Mittelmutschelbach”. The Baden-Württemberg state border ran there. It was only in the 18th century that individual Württemberg subjects were allowed to live there on Baden territory. Mutschelbach has retained its village character, especially in the lower part. There are bus connections to both Karlsbad and Pfinztal.
