The royal castle of Amboise is probably one of the castles which offers the most beautiful panorama on the Loire.

Built in the heart of the city, the castle took a considerable place when it became a royal residence. Indeed, from the 15th century, Charles VIII, Louis XII and François 1er will succeed each other there. The latter also invites Leonardo da Vinci, who will live not far from the castle, at Clos Lucé.
