The Steprath House is a former noble residence north of Walbeck, a part of the town of Geldern on the Lower Rhine. The castle-like complex is located in the middle of a forest area near the German-Dutch border in North Rhine-Westphalia and has been listed as a monument since September 20, 1984. According to historian Leopold Henrichs, the property probably originated from a simple farm in the first half of the 15th century [2], which has been renovated according to their needs by different generations of owners. The facility was first mentioned in the mid-16th century when the heiress Katharina von Geldern married Heinrich von Steprath, whose name was transferred to the house.After a thorough restoration in the late 1980s, the complex's mansion now serves as meeting and meeting place.
