We were also there in September 2019 coming from Poti. We took the risk ;-). You can even cycle a big part of it but it is wise to walk the last part. Great adventure... we don't see such kind of bridges in the Netherlands :-)

Komoot routed us across this rickety-looking bridge during our Georgia bicycle tour in September 2019. We were coming from north and decided not to risk it. So we rode another few km upstream to the busy main road into Poti. Lots of trucks heading to Poti Port.
