The Schreckstein is a supposedly 650-year-old boundary stone west of the mountain of the same name, which delimited the markings of the municipalities of Ensingen, G├╝ndelbach, Illingen and Sch├╝tzingen and later also marked the state border between W├╝rttemberg and Baden.
It stands on the ridge on the hiking trail (HW 10) that leads from the donkey castle through the Great Fleckenwald to the west.

Old cross use where robbers like to ambush in the Middle Ages.

It used to be a dangerous place but is now more harmless. The HW 10 passes here, a beautiful path on the ridge with old oak trees.

Possibility for a break. Very nice level path on the "mountain" back.

Today only the stone is there and tells what happened here in the past

The stone is in the middle of the forest.
I found the information on how to do this very helpful
