Tips
Le Balcon de Dolomieu is located at an altitude of 2,632 metres. This point dominates the crater of Dolomieu which was formed in 1791 before collapsing several hundred meters in 2007.

Allow 2h30 from the car park to the viewpoint on the Dolomieu crater. Course marked with white dots. Leave very early to avoid the crowds. Good footwear required: uneven and abrasive terrain.
