On this occasion, I fancied the clear broth version that this restorative and strangely refreshing hot soup. It's served with masses of (no doubt) locally grown spring onions and lots of shredded beef. If you don't enjoy saltier or spicy dishes, I would recommend this over the traditional style Yukgaejang, described below - they go better with alcohol in my opinion and we weren't drinking! Side dishes, on this occasion, were cabbage kimchi, radish kimchi, and pickled perilla leaves.
