In the summer of 2007, a Boniface pulpit was built near the cemetery, on the highest point in Gunzenau. It is considered a monument. The construction was stimulated by a competition of the Hessischer Rundfunk. A service is held here once a year and is very well received by the community.
From up here you have a very nice view of the Nieder-Mooser See and the Vogelsberg. You can also see the transmission tower on the Hoherodskopf.
