The watershed on the Flexenpass was a popular playground of the witches from ancient times, who could mess up the natural balance of water distribution with little effort. A small ban on the left side, and already a large part of the snow melt flowed into the Black Sea. The North Sea went empty, until one of the witches from the north went to Lech and ended the spell or, as usual, steered in the opposite direction. Then the water level sank in the Black Sea and the North Sea rolled with new force against the cliffs and dikes. When it was time again that it was no longer enough for ordinary storms in the Black Sea, it was in no time one of the witches in Constanza too stupid. Then she traveled back to the Flexenpass to manipulate the watershed, and so it went on and on until the Lechner population became too stupid. It was not the water differences in the faraway lands that annoyed her, but the angry witches who regularly showed up in the area and got worked up on the Flexenpass - because they were an unpredictable risk to tourism. So they set up an installation that has for some time allowed every hiker to divert the water with his hands. If he scoops the water to the right, it flows into the Black Sea, he moves his hands to the left, the water flow into the North Sea. Due to the casualness with which the water is constantly being changed, it has become too hectic for the witches to interfere and take a long and uncomfortable journey. There is peace on the Flexenpass, and the wild women only meet to party at the Hexenboden - and they are usually in a good mood.
