The Castle of Miranda is located approximately 10 kilometers from Zaragoza, in the heart of the Castellar mountainous area, above the Juslibol galachos. It is believed that it was built in the 12th century, but before that there was already an Iberian settlement there, of which today only some of the plants of their homes remain. The castle, now in ruins, has never been restored or preserved, but was of great importance in its day. From there, King Alfonso I 'El Batallador' created the strategy to reconquer Zaragoza (in 1118) and consolidated the positions of Juslibol and El Castellar, back in 1105.

Be careful, it is military land and they made me a record. If you get caught twice, you get a fine.

As the name suggests, "views of Miranda Castle". And it could not be better said, because just when you reach the path of the last small access climb you come across a fence that is "not at all misleading" that it is a military zone and that you should not even think of crossing it. The strange thing is that on the entrance sign the castle appears within the official path, and on the komoot the military zone appears quite a bit further back.
