The Burgstall Hunberg is a run-down castle on the southern foothills of the Rhön, near the town Nüdlingen in the Lower Franconian district Bad Kissingen in Bavaria.

In 1243, the grounds of Hunberg Castle were mentioned for the first time in a document. Hermann I von Henneberg handed over the castle as a reconciliation gift as a result of the battle at Thulbe to the Bishop of Würzburg. The bishop ordered the destruction of the castle in 1247/48.

Today, the castle ruins as a monument D-6-72-136-26 "castle ruins Hunberg, built in 1242 and 1248 destroyed plant, on the Schlossberg" and as a ground monument D-6-5726-0018 "Late medieval Burgstall" Hunberg "" from the Bavarian State Office listed for historic preservation. [2]
