Below the Eichköpfel in Heßmarsgrund, the spring has been the only water supply for almost 100 years to supply the community with drinking water. "The source is fed from sandstone caverns in the Odenwald. Their output fluctuated seasonally, with the weakest pouring in autumn," reports Mayor Hermann Roth.

...A 180 cubic meter elevated tank takes the water from the two springs in a new stainless steel tank. This amount of water is enough to supply the community with water for two days while maintaining a fire reserve of 60 cubic meters.
At a well, the K 4118 is in a curve, below the elevated tank drinking water can be taken!
