The San Francisco South of Market Leather History Alley consists of four works of art along the Ringold Street alley in San Francisco's SOMA district honoring leather culture. Collectively titled Leather Memoir, the artworks, mainly created by landscape architect Jeffrey Miller, opened in 2017.

Ringold Alley is between 8th and 9th Streets and Harrison and Folsom in SF's SOMA district. Prior to the AIDS crisis, Ringold alley served as one of the go-to places for gay men to rendezvous after the numerous gay bars along Folsom Street (the “Miracle Mile”) closed for the night. Until the 1990s, Ringold Street continued to play a major role in San Francisco’s leather and gay SOMA scenes. One of the last remaining gay bars on this block, the Stud, closed during the COVID crisis in 2020.
