Here you can see many old Swedish houses, which were mostly ferried over from Holmön (the next island). These include a church, a whole village, a school (where you can join a lesson in the old style at 2:00 PM) and much more. In the old farm shop, you can bake your own Swedish bread or watch a nice show (though only in Swedish).
Time flies by so quickly here that you should usually add another day to visit the actual museum. Simply worth a trip for people with and without children.
