The ascent to Gampenkogel should take place from Kreuzjöchelsee. The other side, which is not quite as rocky and steep, should then be used for the descent. This path is the easier option for hikers who are not yet professionals. In any case, you will be rewarded with a great view of the summit

We were greeted by goats right at the summit, but unfortunately also by tons of insects, so that a relaxing stay was out of the question. You can still enjoy it 50 meters further.
