The extraordinarily beautiful pilgrimage church emerged from the former castle chapel of the Counts of Sempt from Ebersberg, whose castle was mentioned in documents in 1250. The current church was built in 1467 and baroque around 1711. For many centuries people have come to the Blessed Virgin Mary with their concerns and have returned comforted and strengthened to their everyday lives.

South of the church it goes downhill over a meadow path.
