A very nice place with a beach and a jetty. Suitable for beautiful sunsets.

In the area near Twedter Holz, which originally belonged to Meierwik to the east and was also called Meyerwik at the time, there was only a single farm in the 19th century that had emerged from a croft. This farm and land was acquired in 1841 by Baron Schack von Brockdorff zu Petersholm and Thomasgaard, a royal Danish chamberlain. The baron, who first served as a lieutenant colonel, was then promoted to colonel and later became a customs administrator in Kiel, had a stately building built in Solitude. With royal permission, he gave his country estate the French name Solitude, as was the fashion in aristocratic circles at the time. The baron died on January 14, 1858 in Wandsbek, he had already sold the Solitüde country estate in 1845. After that, the farm changed hands several times in just a few years, until it became the property of the Rasch family in 1858. Sometime later, the property finally became the property of the city of Flensburg and was incorporated in 1910.
