Clear recommendation: Ochsenkopf > Mittagskopf > Roter Schrofen!

Between the Ochsenkopf and the Mittagskopf, surefootedness is required for short, exposed sections. Personally, we (like most) prefer these passages uphill. There is another small exposed passage between Mittagskopf and Roter Schrofen. We liked the ridge between these two peaks the best. The reward: a great 360° view of the Kaunertal glaciers.

Now for the less pleasant part... the dreary descent down a scree gully. There are absolutely no markings here and we almost exclusively followed the Komoot route.

The tour is highly recommended thanks to the great view and the beautiful climb!

Run over the Ochsenkopf from the direction of Fendels or over Grad at the end of the cable car in the direction of Mittagskopf. Then up to the Red Schrofen and Gemskopf. Super great track.
