    Hiking

I recommend the route over the Mittag Kogel.

    Hiking

A clear recommendation: Ochsenkopf > Mittagskopf > Roter Schrofen!

Between Ochsenkopf and Mittagskopf, sure-footedness is required on short, exposed sections. Personally, we (like most) prefer to tackle these sections uphill. There's another short, exposed section between Mittagskopf and Roter Schrofen. We enjoyed the ridge between these two peaks the most. The reward: a magnificent 360° view all the way to the glaciers of the Kaunertal valley.

Now for the less enjoyable part... the dreary descent in a scree gully. Trail markings are extremely scarce here, and we relied almost exclusively on the Komoot route.

    Hiking

The proposed route feels impassable. I'm so dismounted. It was an absolute struggle. Run over the Ochsenkopf from the direction of Fendels or over Grad at the end of the cable car in the direction of Mittagskopf. Then up to the Red Schrofen and Gemskopf. Super great track. Sure-footedness must be given. Otherwise leave it alone. Bergheil
