Bärenkopf

The magnificent view at the 1,991 meter high Bärenkopf summit shows you that the efforts of the climb have been worthwhile. At the summit there is a great view of the Achensee, the opposite Rofan mountains, the Karwendel mountains and the Inn valley.

Only at the top you have really been there ;-).

Even though the ascent is very steep at the end, it definitely pays to be rewarded with a sensational view of the Achensee.

The bear head is a 1991 m above sea level. A. high mountain in the Rauer Knöll branch in the southeastern Karwendel south of Pertisau am Achensee in Tyrol.

Mountain hikers reach the summit in an easy three-hour hike from Pertisau, a few meters west below the summit plateau a rock step and another section of the trail are secured with ropes.

You can also take the Karwendelbahn up to the Zwölferkopf and save 500 meters in altitude.

Just a great view to all sides from up here.

Such a view of the Achensee - amazing!

Fabulous view, but also very well attended. If you follow the path a little further down after the summit cross, you come to a small platform from which you can take great panoramic pictures of the entire Achensee :)

Do not just look for a trip to the Rofan mountains.

A few meters further from the highest point is the best place for photos, it's worth it.

Is also a great tour with the MTB.

Great view of the Achensee, the Rofan Mountains and the Karwendel Mountains. On days with good weather, the summit is heavily frequented by hikers.

The Bärenkopf is one of the most beautiful panoramic mountains, here you have a magnificent view of the Achensee, Rofan and the Karwendel, highly recommended 😀

You should definitely wear sturdy footwear, as the paths are littered with a lot of scree and you sometimes have to climb easily if you hike to the summit.

The view of the Achensee is simply gigantic :)

The bear head is always worth a detour! If you don't want to complete the entire altitude difference, you can shorten the tour to around half by taking the train. (At least in non-Corona times)

However, the prices are impressive ... 💰
